Blimey, it ain't half hot!
It was my day off too
Well it's hot for England, 27C, pleasantly warm really, we're just not acclimatised to it. Probably won't get the chance as it's back to 19C tomorrow, oh well.
Supergrass were alright the other night, actually they were really good. It's surprising how much more rock'n'roll some bands sound playing live and loud

The opening night of the Bath International Music Festival was a bit lame, it didn't help that it had been raining really hard all afternoon.
Even the firework display was a little lacking, it was much further away than last time so you couldn't feel the shock waves. I also suspect the budget had been cut a bit as the display was just less full...

Enjoy the fringe festival this weekend my friend.
I hope the weather stays good and there's plenty of beer and scantily clad women! Don't you just love the sun for scantily clad women and beer? ... I do!

Today is the start of the Bath International Music Festival.
That means there is lots of international music in town for the next few weeks, anything you could possibly think of is probably here somewhere. We are talking regional/ethnic type music mind you, there won't be any punk rock from Peru.
The opening night celebrations usually start with a big party in the park.

I'm glad you got your bonus ok mate
It seems as though the huge company I work for (Who'll remain nameless as I may not get any bonus if I name and shame them ...) will pay me and the rest of the people next month. I suppose the next time I go into the bank and pay some money in I could always try the "I'm paying in 5000 today but really it's 10,000, credit me the 10k and I'll give you the other 5k next month ...."
BTW My bonus wasn't 10k ... If only!
Yep, I've split with Rachel, it wasn't ever going to work, maybe the initial meeting and the 'having fun' (wink wink ... nudge nudge ..) was good, but life never stays like that, especially when there's kids ... whoever invented kids?
Anyway, enough of my ramblings ... how are you mate? I hope your weekend was great and you're looking forward to the fringe festival!!!
Take it easy!

I'm just coming to the end of a lovely long weekend off.
Every six weeks I get Saturday/Sunday/Monday off, it's just like having a bank holiday weekend, but more often, with less people about.
Unfortunately I'm feeling a tad rough today, mainly due to all of the alcohol consumed yesterday, and probably the previous two evenings.
The trouble is, all my friends drink faster than...

hey!
well your first paragraph justifies my pub assertions.
That's very very cool about the glastonbury job!
I'm loving those videos. Still nothing will quite live up to the 'Only Happy When it Rains' video

Supergrass are playing at Bath Pavilion on May 25th.
I'll be going to see them, even though I'm not too sure what their recent material is like.
It's so rare to have a big(ish) band play the Pavilion these days that it can't really be missed.
I saw loads of punk bands there back in the late seventies and early eighties, then it just stopped...

Well I didn't get to any outdoor parties over the weekend, they were too far away, so I just did the usual night out in town.
There are bound to be some do's on nearer to home over the summer.
I used to go to raves every two or three weeks years ago, now one or two local ones a year is more likely, but...

honestly, i don't think i'll find any more links like that. i was surprised to even find that one.
thanks for the profile editing. i'm usually a stickler for that sort of thing, and i'm terrible about letting people know when they misspell something in theirs.
i still love you anyway, especially since you put up with my shit

Cool! It's lovely countryside arounf there. It gets all 'mystical' during the festival what with all the (ahem) smoke from wood fires, and other things, especially as the sun hazily sets on the last day.
Or did I smoke to much last time I went there???

A bank holiday weekend, and it's not going to rain for most of it, excellent!
It looks it might rain on Monday though.
Enough of the British predisposition to chat about the weather.
I do have to work tomorrow though, but I'll be done by midday, so that's not so bad.
Why do telesales people always ring you when you're doing something like cooking, or...

Chocolate helps though.
It's my day off work tomorrow
I don't think I'll be doing too much, it's going to be a wet grey day.
It's good just to have time to chill
My brother has sent me a text from Australia telling me he is just about out of money, for the next few weeks anyway, then he has a job sorted out.

I went to MCDs a week or two ago, for the first time in ages, and the food was really good, it had really changed.
But the people in there still really pissed me off. If I wanted to eat around screaming children, I'd work in a playschool.
Enjoy the pub

The birthday celebrations are over for another year. It was a most pleasant weekend.
I'm feeling a little groggy today, but not too bad considering.
The intention was just to have a few drinks around town, but we ended up going to a club we hadn't been to for many years, it was good though I was a bit hesitant to go there at first...

Haven't got it yet (in the post) the London tickets sold out, so I decided to get Bristol ones anyway. Waht's the worst that could happen? I'll be surrounded by 'scene' kids in stripey jumpers again (like when I was there in December).
I've heard all about that project. Kicking off the first contractor is quite extreme, but the problems also seem to be.

oh, now ... you know that was fun.
My flat has finally been painted, it looks good
Tonight I'm going to what used to be 'The Hat and Feather' , a pub that is/was known across the world, in boho'/hippy circles anyway.
It was my regular for about twelve years, now its been turned into another slick trendy bar, with a restaurant upstairs.
It'll be interesting to see what's left of it.

What is the release date for the UK do you know? I had no idea there was such a lag time.

aww thanx bud HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you too! x0x0x
I'm bang smack in the middle of a week off!
The intention was to decorate my flat.
Well today, I finally started. Cutting in the edges of the walls ready for rollering, and there are a lot of edges.
Mellow sage, a kind of grey/green, it's rather nice.
I was a little unsure of the colour to start with, but I think it'll be OK....

Last night, after the hilariously horrendous Glam rock night on Friday, I thought I'd just go out for a quiet couple of beers.
Whenever I go out for a quiet one, it never seems to happen.
It was the landlords birthday, he had a lock in!
So, at 4a.m. I wobbled home after a very pleasant night, having seen some people that I hadn't seen...

glad you had a good weekend. i'll have to go for a night out in bath sometime soon, it's not far for me.

I'll see how the album sounds first. Should really commit entirely to work at the moment anyways.
How's you?
How's you?
Yep, I was doing the old 1983 journal trick ... glad you noticed .. I said to SomeoneUK a while back that if I do four questions would that have made me 1984?
Enjoy your weekend, sorry about the camera, that's frustrating, I hope it comes sooner rather than later.
Take it easy buddy!
I saw supergrass ages ago, and they're manic! Need to go and see them again.
