Does anyone else think the SG Messenger is kind of bizarre?
I mean, the little space up there is so cramped as it is, I see myself in the future hitting it by accident constantly when trying to update my journal. Didn't the whole email system work out just as well?

I have never understood why someone as smart as me can't put up with the bullshit that graduating from school involves. I hope my prof. doesn't read Suicide Girls, but here goes, venting.
I was in my Asian Art class, and we were having a discussion about Buddhism. I made mention of the story where Buddha is still a prince in the palace, and he...

wow...that's, um...politically correct of your professor...
Seriously, someone who doesn't understand the differences between then and now and, you know, Buddha wasn't American, either, so cultural differences too...
Oh yeah, and tempted and repulsed...complete opposites, last I checked...

stupid, stupid teacher..

The only reason I even go to school anymore is to show off my outfits.
Because professors don't like it when you show off your brain.
I speak from experience.

Wow. Things here are insane, at least they were, but now they have calmed down.
My good friend from high school came to visit me for the weekend, but in actuality had an ulterior motive to hook up with some guy who she had never met but plays World of Warcraft with, which I didn't even hear about until she got here. Some guy who...

Hey Curi,

I know you're going through other stuff, so it sucks that all of this is going down now. Alas, there's always that moment when you realize that you no longer have anything in common with or, in some cases, aren't really even friends with people from high school or college. Sometimes it's when you have no desire to go their wedding. Other times it's when they don't make time to see you. At any rate, every time it happens, it sucks.

Thanks for all the support, everyone. Sadly this is one of those life and death situations where things are going to get worse before they get better.
Anyway, Emilie Autumn KICKS YOUR ASS. I caught her show at the Double Door, which rocked the whole universe, and afterwards she gave out cupcakes. I want to be her new best friend for life.

We saw Emilie Autumn on WGN's Morning News the other day. Glad you rocked it.

In the past few days I received some seriously bad news...it is too bad to post here, but if you and I are close you already know what it is.
At first I was very nonchalant, but now I am having a lot of trouble dealing with it.
::sigh::
I also really want to drop my Japanese class this quarter. Our professor told us that...

Oh my fucking god last night was like an episode of Degrassi Junior High.
It started out innocuously enough. Ariel and I went over to a friend's since she is leaving to live in New York with her girlfriend. I enjoyed the company, and we dressed in Lolita and walked around the suburban mall, which was fun. After a stop at the grocery store for...

Since this is my main journal, and I don't want it to be chocked full of Lolita stuff (much of it in Japanese, mind you) I've created a new Lolita journal. It isn't ready yet, though, so I don't have a link to it right now.
School and Japan trip have both kicked me in the ass. Sigh. For TWO DAYS in a row I...

I've always had a problem with the "Lolita" part in Elegant Gothic Lolita, but I suppose that goes with anyone who has actually ever read the Nabokov. Any book which begins in an insane asylum and ends in a prison, and where all the main characters die, shouldn't allow association with something as gorgeous and seemingly innocent as EGL. I think I should write a...

Today I am EXHAUSTED.
Yesterday's flight was un-fucking-believable. I'm still reeling. It was the worst flight I have ever had. I sat between two people, and I couldn't stretch out my legs because there was a metal box thingie under the chair in front of me, and I couldn't sleep because there was...

Only about an hour to go until 2006 in Tokyo!!!
Like every Japanese person, I'm watching the music special on NHK. Koda Kumi won what is the Japanese equivalent of a Grammy. SMAP and Morning Musume (even some graduated members, like Ishikawa Rika and Goto Maki) sang that Romanian song "Dragosta Din Tea" together. I am not kidding.
I was going to go to Asakusa...

So yesterday since Ariel was feeling poorly we went out with Julia, and sang karaoke and ate at the karaoke boxes. Ariel didn't sing any songs, but we spent a fun hour and a half eating plates of sausage and singing themes from anime and anything H!P we could think of. After that Ariel went back to the hotel, and I made a trip to...
