I'm going to Funky Buddha Lounge (Halsted/Grand/Milwaukee) to meet up with a very cute girl and some other friends. I think I'm going to wear a vintage navy/black/pink plaid western shirt with a pink cumberbund and black leather skirt. Oh, and black stilettos, of course.
If anyone cares to join me there, that would be fab.

omfg.... I've wanted to go to the Funky Buddha Lounge FOREVER but I never got the chance. 
Maybe next time I go to Chicago. I think my best friend also wanted to go there but he's sad there without me and would probably want to wait for me to go with anyway. So maybe we can all meet up next time I'm in town! Whenever that will be...

i live in the west loop area, i hang out sometimes at the twisted spoke, exit..blyss (yuppier) and i discovered thanks to Polonovia and Dupper this great bar in the southside..the skylark..great place...that i think i am going to hang out there more...

you are right on the money..in order to develop a successfull learning experience (especially in language) there should be some kind of personal experience or teh experience in the classroom to be as close as possible to real live situations..

i teach Social Studies and Spanish Spk 4, besides that, i am the bilingual and world language dept. chair......english is an area where they need teachers all the time...the schools that you are going to observe are good schools, very mix..my school is 90% mexican..is not bad..kids are nice in general...if you want to observe classes at kelly, let me know i refer you to the person in charge, that is my friend...
