This journal was written on Friday morning, but it's difficult for me to get internet right now. This is also why I haven't replied to comments. Sorry!

I wrote this last week, while on a train to Leeds. So, while a little out-of-date it may still be worth a read to a few of you:

I'm 25 tomorrow. Birthday! It'll mostly be a quiet one, I think. I have an appointment at 12.30, then afternoon tea with AnnaLee and Tsui and out for a quiet dinner. I'm not really one for a huge fuss on my birthday and I'd usually rather not tell anyone. I haven't really celebrated my birthday in the past 10 years since I left my family....

Hi Cherry,
That was quite a well written blog on Micheal Stone, you highlighted some areas/ aspects I had not considered, well done.

I remember years ago when Mr Stone sneaked up on a IRA funeral, and launched some hand grenades/ home made bombs, he was even on telly a few months ago, telling his tale of how he killed a Catholic delivery man, he told in detail the integence, weaponry, and planning he received from senior loyalists.

I also saw a programme about how some members of the IRA though they had been manipulated and used by senior Republican terrorists, they were 17 at the time when they were recruited, and were very angry young men, ripe for manipulation.

I have been to Dublin and seen the bullet shell holes etched on the main post office building, which the IRA held out in, bit of an Irish shrine now, a lot more than a Post office building, my friend who I went with is half Irish, he bought a copy of the Irish declaration of Independence, and got Jerry Adams to sigh it, who he met by chance at Cork airport.

Andrew smile

The Demolished Man is a great book. As for that cover artwow!! My copy doesn't have quite such an exciting cover. Some of my Bradbury's have got similarly funky cover art as they are second-hand 1960s Corgi editions. One of my favourite covers is the one on my copy of Asimov's Nightfall One. It's a picture of a human face. The forehead s a picture of a house with some trees and a sky behind and the rest of the face is made from plasticene and looks a bit like a bird's eye view of different coloured fields etc.

PS that cake looks tasty.

I think that might have worked in the boards or been good timing because the local page was defaulting to Great Britain and now it is defaulting to UK. At this moment, it says that we don't have any local groups, so something has been changed in the last hour or so...

Anyhow. smile I thought your pics of Boneshaker were lovely. smile And I haven't tried icing anything yet, but I have got a nozzle, coupler and bag, so I'm just searching for something to try next weekend. I've just made a lemon syrup loaf and a choc-orange marble cake for some friends I'm visiting tomorrow.

This update was not brought to you by the Cherry Robot but in-fact the real deal with a frustrated heart and a creatively disrupted mind.

I love the photos in this entry. I'm interpreting it in relation to nudity in art and those that don't understand it. It bothers me when people call suicide girls porn, because being free to express female sexuality and our own lovely bodies is not porn. I may be off base with that interpretation, but it makes me glad. You have wide range of talent, congratulations. : )

You did tell me about it. And the fact that there are more Venla sets in the hopper is something that makes me feel good about the planet Earth.

Of course, I should mention that I look forward to all of your sets. I just... you know... have a crush. wink

Yes, I've been thinking about applying for smaller evening courses.. It would be fun to go an evening photography course or art course perhaps.. They're quite expensive though.. for someone who won't have any income whatsoever. I think getting some sort of shitty job will be a must, and then checking out course-options. We'll see. Its sort of irritating that I know I could apply to different programs and courses here on the island, since I know people in charge of them. But I really need to get out and see more of the world right now, and no matter how familiar things are here they suffocate me aswell.

Flights tend to be more expensive in the summer. I wish I wonn the lottery or something - then I'd take a trip to the UK and visit you!

miao!!
