Oh...well you are not alone...I just graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design as well and find myself interested in other things entirely now... but I'm going to try it out for a few years just to say I did something with my degree, who knows maybe it'll lead to something I'll enjoy more so later on... So you're more into cartooning and illustration I see though... I checked out your website, you got some interesting stuff (sorry for the lack of better words brain fart)

I can completely sympathize with her current negative self imagine, I think all girls go through it sometimes, and I really really hope that she realizes soon that being beautiful is all about how you feel inside. If you feel it and believe it then everyone will see it. Also your drawings prove that she has a lot more going for her than she currently believes.

Aww that sucks. Some girl's just have it engrained in them. I grew up being told I was ugly/weird looking/awkward but it shaped me into who I am. Sometimes people let te negatives own them. Here's hoping your friend can find the positive in herself

I found the friends that I have so far by checking out blogs. Also, if you friend someone and decide you don't like them you can just end the friendship. You can definintely find some fun people on groups too. And there is nothing wrong with just friending people randomly ^_^ As far as the SGs themselves go, I guess you should find your faves, mark them and comment on their sets and blogs for a while before trying to friend them. Familiarity helps. Post some of your art in your blogs and in your pics, if people like what they see they will let you know and you'll probably get some friends out of it.
