Warm balmy night, family out, block of dark chocolate, bottle of irish whiskey, reasonable telescope, clear night, bright moon.

Hungry mosquitos, shit loads of hungry mosquitoes.

Coincidence?

I think not! smile

Yikes, I live in dread of a repair bill like that. Hope that drink tasted good.

Any other news?

Also, I have a Lotto ticket for tonight. If it hits you get 25%.

Still working in the disability unit - until end of term, been really good - learning to teach again really, big change from senior academic or behaviourally dydsfunctional students. (Haven't been told to 'get fucked' in four weeks smile )

Did a small mine shutdown (4 days) last week - very long hours but still a great change! All good, just a bit of pressure, so life is good.

Last week was a change of scenery! From teaching the top senior Ag and Science students - to the Special Ed unit!

It was the bestestest - est week ever, although I'm damned exhausted! Doing it again next week, bugger running off to the mines or rigs to earn some real money! - these intellectually disabled kids are the best fun I've had in ages!...

Rhana, come south, to the Snowies, and take a trail ride across the high country. (Have a look at the appauling movie version of 'The Man from Snowy River' to get an idea of that land scape!)

We have some lovely riding country here.

Equally so, the Tom Quilty 24 hour event - endurance ride, or the Adelaide International 3 day event, equally interesting, especially if your observing with a well stocked hamper of South Australian wines! smile

Thank you for the love and support on my new sg set!

Nothing new to report blog junkies!

Missing teacher finally turned up after 3 weeks MIA, and a company who asked that prospective employees pay for their own medicals (which I did today) has just been told the industrial maintenance work requires less people than originally anticipated, so I'm $250 down when the income is lowest with more than a month to wait before they start...

You're a good man, BD.
insane_puck:
I agree you are a truly good man BD.

I have been thinking about getting a motorcycle and going on a cruise across the US, just because it seems like the good thing to do.... also I use to be into zen and I am use to meditating and it kind of helps me and I still do practice it...

in other things, they have yet to find the coward shooter... that and my mind has been else where so I failed my college courses...guess its a sign I do need to get the hell out of here huh? lol

Anyways I really wanted to say thank you and I appreciate your input and your wisdom, and I mean it when I say you are a good man and one o my only true friends here on SG

Cheers to you BD

Full time teacher has gone MIA???? eeek

So I'm teaching on, which is very cool, but the predecessor left no curriculum notes and lesson plans, especially for the year 11's and 12's. (Which is sheer bullshit!) mad

It's ok!!! (ish) But super screw up on my part, having found a draft outline, thought I had to fit soil sciences into only 14 lessons - spent all night,...

Cheers guys thanks.

In the mean time, whilst I'm not a fan of foreign policy at times, I'm even a lesser fan of our medias' priorities!

No different to horses or any other wild animal really. Know their psychology, and treat them with respect. Except I believe horses have a real sense of affection, which reptiles never have. It is good to see you still maintain contact with the outside world smile

Gee, I knew you were a charmer...but a snake charmer!?! eeek

Beautiful, but deadly, eh?

Quite amazing. smile

Thanks for the interesting comment! You are always so compassionate - I really appreciate that ! kiss Good luck with your new " baby ". I have a bitless bridle but have never actually put it on a horse!!! Think I need some professional supervision for that wink. Maybe when the divorce is over and I'm all settled in somewhere...... until then I'll just ride him in his usual long shank snaffle. Hey - if it ain't broke - don't fix it - right??
