we're at a party thrown by mutual friends but have never met. i'm talking with some people, and this cute girl bad_moon joins in the conversation. i've never met her, but she's interesting.

so i'm there with a drink in hand, my head slightly tilted, maybe with a wry smile on my face, listening to you. i'm not saying anything yet because what you're saying is interesting or funny, and i'm trying to figure out who this cute woman is.

I went to see my very talented niece Jackie (and yeah I'm biased, so what) sing last night. It was cool hearing her sing some Otis Redding and "Aquarius" (even tho I hate that hippie shit) instead of more modern fare (crap).

She's a metalhead anyway. I'm pretty damn proud of her. After the show we were harmonizing on "All My Lovin' with her mom on 7th av and 5th st in park slope. cool stuff.
