I hate graveyard to day shift transitions. I can't get a decent sleep cycle going. One minute, I'm on the couch playing Suikoden III on the PS2 in the afternoon. Next, I find myself laying down in the dark with the cat drooling in my ear and my PS2 game long expired. And I didn't save it either. Nemasu..

Wow, what a contrast to 6 hours ago, when it sounded like a war going on outside.

I'm having a moment of culinary creativitiy (at least for me). I marinated chicken breast for 8 hours in Italian salad dressing and grilled them. Instead of making the usual chicken sandwhich (toasted wheat bread with mayo/mustard/lettuce/tomato), I'm contemplating a baked marinara sandwhich. Marinara sauce on Italian bread...

(grin) Indeed, and to top off all the love, we have been fluxuating between cond 2 and con 1 for wind chill. Tomorrow is supposed to be a con 1 day all the way around.

I need to remember though to send you some pics of the full moon with nacreous clouds...

Flame throwers. You can never have enough of them really. I think I need to have one...though heaven knows the temptation to use it would probably be a little to over whelming for such a tempermental little beast, such as myself. smile

Chicken Yakisoba...not bad. Noodles were a bit small. I 'll have to try a different Ma and Pa shop.

Making waffles now. I like em with lots and lots of butter. Major Coronary just around the corner. We're all gonna die anyway.

Indeed, decisions.

Yakisoba, waffles...I think I'm going to get really excited if you keep that up!

It's not the 4th yet and there's already a battle raging outside my house. Wish I had some explosives... frown

A couple of the guys I play poker with asked if I wanted to join a tournament at one of the local casinos. Since I had to work that night, I declined. Out of the three that went, 2 made the final table. One came in third and the other won it all ($800).

Makes me wonder how I would've done if I went..

I love graveyard shifts. You get paid more for them. The public line is off, so no phonecalls from John Q. And if you're lucky, you work with two other people that you get along with, which helps the time fly faster. Luck happened to be with me this time.

The weather was clear and tranquil. Sunny, warm days followed by clear, cool nights. This...

"Chariots of the God's, man. They're falling out of the sky like flies."

Maybe it's just me, but I saw something at work last night that I can't explain. Being a weather observer, it is my job to know what I am looking at in the sky. Last night at 3am, I don't know what I was looking at, but it wasn't in the sky....

The mortals have enjoyed themselves in the past few days. But playtime has ended.

One of the trinity will grace us with their presence tonight, to walk amongst the lowly mortals who inhabit the hours of the graveyard. One must be on their best behavior, for any misdead will be met with swift and exacting justice. It is rumored that if one of lowly stature...

Indeed, a good many aliens. Though the strangest outfit to me was the Morton's Salt Girl. No I'm not kidding. I guess what is considered alien is subjective to various personalities, and one of the best I saw was a gal's rendition of what an Imperial Girl Scout would look like.

(laughter) Indeed it is T-shirt weather. We were definitely milling about outside in them as well. Balmy. We have an inversion of sorts going on.

All right, finally I have enough time to sit down and drain my head of all the crap that's in it and into this journal.

First, a big Thank You to klaire for the Happy Birthday song. And love to all my friends and family, especially to Ma and Pa, although the blood test is still pending.

Today is also the day that I freed...
