Hey, look! It's my primary World of Warcraft character, live in real time! Well, real time as of yesterday.

I cleaned my apartment this evening, and despite this I've been feeling pretty blah lately. I think it might be time for a shake-up; a psychiatry appointment and ideally some different meds. Hopefully new meds that I won't get addicted to, because part of my...

You know I had the same problem.... go to management.... they have to supply these things, or at least know where to get them being they have to do it tooo..... thats how I got mine. Anyways.... the meds are a big issue no doubt there, though I have never taken meds but was addicted to coke for about a year.... I am so glad to not be on that shit.... but then at one time I was taking morphene and that was awsome till I over dosed.... bad juju...... my boyfriend found me in the bathroom naked hanging off the lu'. bad times man... though now I would give anything for a sleeping pill cause I can not sleep for a damn hour without waking up.... WIDE AWAKE! good luck hope you get less addictive things to make things better.... have you ever just tried smoking pot? I think thats about the nicest natural healer around thought the government tends to think not being they cant tax it... lil bitches.... mad

Well, here I am back at the office, finally. Prior to this week I'd been working from home since August 31 -- the day I arrived in Nashville during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. And so right now I'm sitting in a $200 office chair on the 10th floor of Poydras Centre in downtown New Orleans, which is, as far as I can tell, devoid...

Thank you, THANK YOU for mentioning the "Indian Revoval Act" in the thread about the top ten fucked up things that presidents have done. The point I was trying to make got lost amid some shit about Clinton.

Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

Either way, cheers and thanks for making a point that fucking needs to be heard!!

kiss

Well, I used to live down that way myself, in Jackson, MS, so I've been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras before. It wasn't my favorite time to visit the city for the reasons you mentioned, but I'd take that over preparing a spreadsheet at my desk in Los Angeles, thank you very much! tongue

So it's another one of those stupid holidays in America. It means nothing to me; I don't celebrate any holidays at all, or my birthday. This has been a major point of contention amongst people I've known and my family, but I steadfastly refuse to take part in any holiday at all. Some reasons:

• Consumerism sucks
• Americana sucks
• Tradition sucks
• Being...

Only two more weeks in Nashville before I can go home! biggrin

I just hope, what with a lot of stuff still closed down, that living in NO is much the same as it was before the fucking storms.

Also, I've got a mug of chamomile tea, with sugar in the raw, and I've been smoking discards until I can get up later today to pick...

I had new glasses made today. Something less dorky than what I've been wearing for the past couple of years. I needed new glasses anyway, since my other pair scratches too easily and won't get clean no matter how much I rub the dust off them.

I also got my tickets for the Tegan & Sara show later this month in Nashville. Yay! biggrin I got...

Long day for me today.

I left the house at 8:30 for my therapy appointment, but the doctor showed up an hour late, leaving me in the waiting room for an hour before she arrived, thinking her first appointment was at 11:00 (instead of 10:00, which was my scheduled appointment). Her admitted error. No hard feelings, of course, since she's such a sweetie. She asked...

Ugh. Slept like crap today, and woke up about two hours late, which means I've got to work until 10:00 this morning. Ugh again. Luckily, Walgreens refilled my Xanax prescription without me asking them to, so I'll pick that up after work and use it to achieve temporary oblivion.

Why is it that whenever I don't sleep well, I dream about not sleeping well? Never...

I agree that she's probably upset about her recent trauma and about her change in scenery. A lot for anyone to get used to.

I hope you sleep well tonight.

i haven't had the chance to have those coveted blistery calloused fingertips yet.

i have been wanting to get a bass forever. i got really close at the beginning of the year, but then got into a car accident and that took up the money i had saved frown

but i WILL get it someday. it's not too high on my priority list, but it's very high on my
"want" list.

how long did you play?

I seem to have post-traumatic stress disorder, probably from seeing my city first torn apart by a storm, then escaping it in a really convoluted way, then returning to it a month later and seeing enormous amounts of carnage everywhere. There was also the up-and-down thing with the cats.

As a result I've been a wreck for about a week now. Crying a lot. I...

That whole PTSD thing...yeah. It kinda sucks. We've got a PTSD group here in our little naked corner of the web, though. You should join it.

Of course, you can always talk to me as well. kiss

OK, well, I've returned from New Orleans. I didn't take any pictures because I'd really rather not have to see anything I saw there again.

• There was not any evidence at all of damage of any kind to my apartment. The only abnormal thing was a few cockroaches, which the cats had eaten (presumably after their food ran out sometime in early September), and...
