Afternoon boys and girls. Its time for a much overdue update!
Things that have been occupying me this weather are (in no particular order):
- College work. Not so much the doing of it but the ever looming prospect of it needing to be done at some point
- Eating. So many spring fruits and other delicious things have suddenly made an appearance, Im in strawberry heaven!
- Dancing. An abundance of exciting tunes have prompted many an hour of jumping around the house like I dont have loads of work to be doing. Anyone interested in the d&b scene should check out Sub Focus. He has an album due this summer on RAM records and I can't fucking wait.
- People watching. I like to observe how thought patterns and demeanors change with the seasons.
- Writing and THINKING. Thinking thinking thinking so much that it sometimes feels like my brain might explode if I gain any more insights into various often unimportant things. A recent surge of nice things to smoke has meant Ive been spending a lot of evenings with a pipe in one hand and a notebook in the other.
Before I get carried away writing about them, heres a visual description of some of the things Ive been doing over the last month or two.
Going to the zooooo. Can you tell I was high? This creature was wicked cool, I dont even remember what it was called now though. We like Belfast zoo because theyre good to the animals, and are making an active effort to do their bit when it comes to conservation and environmental issues.
We spent probably about a quarter of our time in the zoo scampering around the foresty bit that didnt even have animals in it and was probably supposed to be out of bounds. Id go back for that alone.
We came across a little enclosure almost at ground level with a glass window that from a distance I thought contained a sofa, but upon approaching it discovered that it was actually a FUCKING LION! Like right there in front of us through about an inch of glass. It was beyond epic, and if Im honest a little bit startling. Then more lions came along and they had sex. After a few minutes of observing the lions we came to the conclusion that the little enclosure was their living room (there was a doorway that opened up into a bigger outdoor enclosure) and all the people walking past was just like lion tv.
Building forts and doing illegal things in them.
Hotboxing in the shower.
Walking at night. This is one of my favourite things to do.
Studying.
Protesting against the Irish government's proposals to introduce fees for third level education in Ireland. Most of the people at the protest were only there to drink on the streets.
Celebrating my 21st birthday with my fantastic friends and family.
Making stuff.
For anyone interested, random food and everyday living related bollocks is under the spoilers.

I started Flickr's 365 project a few days ago but instantly forgot about it again, so I'm trying again.
Finally, Ill be hopping on a plane to London on April 2nd to catch the legends themselves Andy C and Roni Size in Matter with my dad. This time Im determined not to be out-danced by a 53 year old.
The sun is shining and Im going outside. Peace out.
