I've officially started Classes at good old Western Washington University as a senior. Saying that I'm senior feels good knowing that I'll have an awesome piece of VERY expensive paper by this upcoming Spring telling everyone that I have a degree in Psychology..... However, the downside to this is that I have to spend another 5 something years as a grad student...

So, besides my new infatuation with Tom Robbins, alot has been going on in life.
I'm warming up to Bellingham, although, I will always consider myself an Everett girl. I'm also warming up to my job as a sales associate but retail continues to wear on my faith in humanity.
My BF got a job up here finally as well, which means no...

Glad to hear your bf got a job that won't make him drive so far. Commuting can be a bitch! Looks like you had a great time drinking margaritas. Looks like your mom had too good of a time. wink How many weeks until you go back for your last year of school? I don't carry a purse....but if I did, I'd carry around some alcohol. biggrin

And to answer your question on your last blog, I have not read any of his work. It sounds like it would be interesting to read. Holy !@#$, as I was typing this I glance over to my left at my gf's bookcase thinking she might have some of his books because she's a big reader. Guess what? She's got two of his books, "Half Asleep In Frog Pajamas," and "Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates." How freaky? biggrin

aldor:

Your gf has freaking good taste!!! wink
I have a month and a half until school starts. I gotta spend some time in the library reviewing. It's gonna be a hard year and I also have to start thinking about the possibility of grad school.
Thanks for the congrats! I'm excited for him even though he is working both jobs right now and getting tired real quick.
And you should invest in a murse and carry around a studly flask. Its not as obvious as my approach and more classy!
Talk to you soon! Take care!

"There is a particularly unattractive and discouraging common affliction called tunnel vision, which, for all the misery it causes, ought to top the job list at the World Health Organization. Tunnel vision is a disease in which perception is restricted by ignorance and distorted by vested interest. Tunnel vision is caused by an optic fungus that multiplies when the brain is less energentic than the...

Both of those ideas sound great! love Gosh, I hope you get a photog! I personally like the idea of you going from work self to real self. That idea has got real potential. smile I'm just going out on a limb when I say, have you thought about making a self shot set? Maybe you need something to put you out there on the map. Then maybe you'll get some people responding to your requests for a professional photog.

How's your summer going? Taking any classes or you just working/enjoying your break?

aldor:

I've thought about doing a self set but I don't have the camera for it. Who knows.
I've just been hanging out this summer, working and volunteering. I review every once in a while, but I don't want to burn myself out before I even start school. This is my last year for my undergraduate degree, then it's on to more school eventually.
How bout you? Besides the massage therapy lisence?

Off to work again.
I am now in the fine jewelery department. I have to cover up my tattoos, which I new was a consequence to getting them, however, I am 22 years old and feel like if I am going to cover these beautiful works of art up, its going to be for a job I spent 16 years to obtain.
Currently looking for...

Went to the Doctor yesterday. My chest has been hurting and my heart has been acting funny. Besides prescribing me with anxiety meds, she explained to me that I have a heart murmer and will be attending a lovely echo gram in two weeks. Um, so, anxiety, really? I'm a psych major with an emphasis on behavioral neuroscience and if I remember correctly, anti-anxiety...

personaljesus:

The god thing is that most heart mummers are benign and cause no effects in your life. I have one. What did she prescribe for the anxiety, klonopin? Good luck!

aldor:

I'm on clorazepam. Its a really low dose, so I really don't feel it much besides the fact that my heart has stopped spontaneously beating like crazy which is nice. Other than that, I knew the heart murmer thing was nothing to worry about. thank you for the luck!

Hope your new job is going well! Enjoy your twenties. I know I am. Got a littler over 3 years left for me! smile

aldor:

well, actually retail is not all that its cracked up to be......it blows quite frankly. People think its totally ok to treat you like shit because you work at Macys. But oh well, all I can do is smile, get through it and then drink alot of beer when I get home and possibly cry a tiny bit because my faith in humanity has shattered (jk)
I am going to enjoy these twenties though. fuck everyone else. Thank you!
You enjoy those 3 years!!! Your adorable mr.femlover

Have fun down in Oregon this weekend! For me, not much planned this weekend. I got to work but have a dinner to go to tomorrow night. An old boss of mine is moving away, so we're taking her out to dinner. With all the stress lifted I'm gonna get back into exercising and increase my level of video game playing. Those two things got cut pretty seriously while I was in school. You practicing shots in the mirror for funsies or are you considering becoming a SG hopeful?

aldor:

I have wanted to be a Suicidegirl for as long as I can remember. I just gotta get a fire going under my ass to do so. Some advice from a new SG was to practice in a mirror, so I thought I'd post it.
Exercise and video game playing are very important. And recent research show evidence that both increase synaptic firing and speed (sorry, my psych side just came out).

No - I was at the National show last month in Seatac and the show late last year at Seattle center - I get my work done at Slave to the Needle in Wallingford - was the Tulalip a good show?

aldor:

It was awesome! It was small, but I think I saw more that way. One of my friends did some work on me for tattoo of the day. Sadly, we lost to a side piece : ) The shop my boyfriend manages was there. Your name "JonesTown" sounds like one of the shops that was presented there, so thats why I assumed you were an artist.
I've heard nothing but great things about Slave to the Needle, but have yet to visit it. Who does your work?

How is it that in a world full of individuals who strive to gain happiness and meaning, there is so much disconnection to those surrounding us? Your daily store cashier, barista, gas pumper, whatever. Why is it that we are so rushed in the days time that we can't take a moment to smile at or actually look these seemingly insignificant people in the...
