I thought maybe I'd reach out to the friends I have here on SG.
I entered a scholarship contest where I posted one of my favorite photos Ive taken.
To be considered for the scholarship, I have to be in the top 150 ranked.

So please take one moment (no registration required!) to vote and post a "review" of the photo.
I would be so...

NIce! We went to the Oregon Aquarium in Newport, had fish and chips at Moe's, then to the beach to fly kites in Lincoln City, and ended with ice cream at Tillamook cheese factory smile

Costal trips are good times!
jehu_:
If you take Hwy 18 to Lincoln City, stop at the Otis Cafe. It's located less than ten miles from Lincoln City. Strangely, it's world-renowned and has been well-patronized even when Lincoln City was suffering economically back in the '80s. It looks like a little greasy spoon, but the food is awfully good and really pretty cheap. Be prepared to wait a bit for a table, though, unless you stop in at an off hour.

Frommer's article

I've only been to thecoast twice in the last two years, and it was the same beach. Both times it was camping around Memorial Day in the Barview/Rockway area, which I do most years. I have access to my co-worker's beach house (well, marsh house) near Pacific City, so I'm not sure why I haven't taken advantage of it more than once, two years ago. Maybe it was the spiders.

I am deep into summer term of school. Chem labs are kicking my ass. As expected. Super fast. Crazy.

Tennis is getting awesome. I was promoted to the intermediate courts. So good, but man do I feel like the worst one again.
Playing with some AMAZING people. Theyre super nice, so its helping me learn.

Also, I am vowing to cook at home more often....

Welp, I reactivated my OLD phone. Which is a brick. And I forget how to use it.
But it'll do for now.

But that means I have lost everyone's phone number that I have gotten in the past year.
Which is surprisingly a lot.
Boo.

Alas, I can't remedy your dilemma but I can send you some Bad-ass-ness! whatever

The weather HAS been nice! Hope you're not spending all your time inside doing homework. Get out and enjoy the sun while we have it smile
aceis138:
I have been trying to do all my homework at restaurant patios or in parks! But some is computer based. At least I sit NEAR a window (as demonstrated above)?

Back from Denver.

Its so weird when you freak out so hard about something, and in an instant it can all go away.
All the stress and worry can just vanish.
Makes you feel silly that something that can disappear in an instant made you feel so horrible.

Life is pretty ok.

I love Ray Kurzweil. Hes the craziest, most psycho, brilliant man that exists today.

Excerpt from Singularity is Near, a fictional conversation between Darwin, Ludd and the future of post-humanism.

Charles Darwin: So the machines will designing their own generation rather quickly.
George 2048: Indeed, in 2048, that is certainly the case.
Charles: Just what I was getting at, a new...

I will probably be MIA a lot this next three weeks.
Two midterms this week in chemistry and calculus.
Weekend in Denver hiking the Flatirons and playing tennis in the sun.
Then back for a huge group project, and finals.

Redox equations are driving me batty.
shawndaddy:
I like your priorities!

Good luck with the midterms, and have fun in Denver <3
saltlord:
You know you're going to rock out your midterms and Denver sounds like a blast.

Joan Rivers was such a perfect fit! As is the name we came up the for the twin chicks. Patty And Selma Bouvier. Patty is a tad bigger and a bit more manish. I laugh every time I see them clucking around together.
I still need to name the other 2. I'm in no rush. Waiting for their personalities to bubble up.

The weather here in Portland should be fucking great! I wait untill I have more time this summer to play!
