I have apparently been living in a cave for the past few months and had no idea until a few weeks ago who Justin Beiber was. Now I just want to go back to my cave.

Not very involved with SG in the last several months. Don't know. Kinda just... don't have a lot to say about much these days. Just feels like repeating myself, over and over.

No immediate plans to quit. We'll see about the future.

i kind of like it when you post, sometimes it's like the only light in the thread that has turned to darkness.

I might just quit Facebook.

It's gotten to the point now where I have to threaten to stab (in the throat) the first person who politicizes one of my status updates.

Here's today's:

Dear owner of 2100 Sunset Plaza Dr., Los Angeles, Ca: You have too much money. Go to Zillow.com and look at pictures of your property. Seriously. That's ridiculous. (For anyone concerned, this...

Goodbye, real world.
(Emerald Dream - Horde, started as Blood Elf Mage and have switched to Orc Death Knight at 55. Liking the Death Knight a lot. But I may pick the Mage back up. I do still want a flying carpet.)

otoki:
I don't think you sign up for it. There are tabs for username friend and real ID friends. I can't remember how to set it up, but I think if you tinker around you can get it.

I've expressed some support for the second amendment in the past in an effort to be consistent with my support for the constitution as a whole. Liberals have a record of supporting the first amendment much more than the second, and conservatives are not always wrong to point out this slight hypocrisy.

I'd like to point out, however, that the constitution was written a few...

Oh, you're an Arizona homeowner. That would certainly color a person's view of things. And Portland is certainly way up there in awesomeness.

What does Obama have to do with it? He's sort of there no matter where you go, isn't he?
ateh:
Haha, I hear you on the rancor towards Obama. My state is much like yours in that way.

Her: "hey do you have any plans for new years?"
Me: "Nah. Got invited to go to some house parties but didn't feel like it."
Her: "I'm going to my friend's restaurant and getting comped food, wanna come?"

Paraphrased. Wholly unremarkable, except that this never happens. I'm friends with this girl, sure, but she never invites me anywhere. And I'm better friends with her brother...

A mystery. Let us know the verdict. We're just doing a laid back NYE at our house with two or three other people.

Thanks. You too.

Was it possible they heard not? - no, no? They heard! - they were making a mockery of my horror! - this I thought. But anything was better than this agony! Anything was more tolerable than this horror! I felt that I must scream or die! - and now - again - hark! louder! louder! louder! LOUDER! - "Villains!" I cried, "play no more! Silence...

So then, does Def Leppard incite you to Lovecraft?

Alright, I finally started watching Death Note because so many people have insisted that it's awesome.

I will never listen to those people again.

I had to pause it mid-episode and come write this because a character actually said the following line:
"You're in college now. That's kind of exciting. I'm filled with joy."

To quote The Robot Devil of Futurama (a/k/a Beelzebot):

Your lyrics...

cathazzar:
Death Note is atypical. I enjoyed it in part because I had no clue what to expect out of it. At it's core, It's one giant cat-and-mouse-who-can-outsmart-who....thing. It's hard to explain, but I recommend at least giving it another two episodes, when it's true colors start to set it.

As much as I like the series though, I could never defend its character's names. Light? L? Mellow? On more than one occasion I seriously thought of pausing the episode to go buy some manner of marshmallow, glow in the dark cereal.
cathazzar:
Alright, if you're not feeling it at the almost half-way point....

I guess all that remains is to take Death Note out to a nice, out of the way restaurant where none of your friends could possibly be. Remark on how good the price of their salmon is, order Death Note a really cheap Lambrusco, and then look directly into it's eyes and say that things just aren't going they way you had hoped. While you're sure there's some great guy out there just for Death Note, you just aren't the one. Then wish Death Note the best of luck, and maybe give it a hug (pelvises not touching of course), then move on.

Or just call it a fuck nugget. Your call.
