Went and had a turkey burger at Donna's. It came with these awesome fucking sweet potato fries. I wasn't sure what to expect but they were legit.
Then purchased "The Wisdom of Crowds" a non-fiction book I can't wait to read. I'm pretty quiet most of the time, but I love being caught up in the wave of the masses at events like Mardi Gras or at a show. And, of course, during football season I expereince rabid swells of people every weekend. Should be an interesting read.
But then the most important item of the day was the pet laser pointer. Nika, Hilary's cat, has been going NUTS chasing it around. We stopped about 10 minutes ago and she keeps getting up every once in a while, looking at some of the spots she remembers seeing it. Fun stuff.

Tell me when you are going to be in Madison -- that is less than two hours and the Essen Haus is worth the trip! I might be your way in spring to meet with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, with any kind of luck. We MUST go to Helmands, I miss it.
PS: I was psyched to see that The Sea Inside was nominated! I love Amenebar films (Open your eyes, thesis, the Others). Good brooding dark shit. The freakin' best, yo.
Jamie is up & down. But, hey, in sickness and in health, right? Be well. Li.
