before we left for the club i made Devin go into the tanning salon and ask the Russian counter girl to come out with us. she had come out to speak with Devin earlier and offered him a tour inside the store, to which he declined. he obviously didn't realize she was trying to get to know him. anyway, as they walk back outside he says, "This is my friend Tony."
"I know him." she says, and of course she does. i work next door to her... we see each other all the time. "He is always very unique looking."
i stopped myself from laughing. i've spoken with her on a previous occasion and her English is awful. so it's amusing that, without skipping a beat, she knows the most polite way to say 'your friend looks very strange'. today i'm going to bring her a flower-- a thank you for amusing me and maybe some incentive to teach me some Russian.
now i will write a haiku:
i want a tattoo
money is always shitty
today will be nice
so much more to write about... but i can't be late for work.
