My little tells me she is only allowed to celebrate Halloween if she is with me but unfortunately, it falls on a day I don't have her this year.. So, because it offends the other's Christian beliefs blah blah.. its bad.
Now, while I agree it can have dark undertones (anyone whose ever seen the original Mikey Myers movie would agree) and gets kids loaded up on sugar, its origins are from the Brit isles. I myself did not know this till my doctor (of Irish decent) told me. Its about the end of harvest and summer celebrations (for you northern hemispherians). Apparently non pagan related and all about people getting loose before the winter hits..
So hopefully next year, it falls on a day when she can dress up and have fun socialising with the neighbours.
To all you out there, Go hard, rock out and enjoy your Halloween for my little

The other must be Satan incarnate and this is part of her Christian ruse.
