Last Saturday I went down to the DC Armory for the roller derby. I photographed the first of the two bouts. It is pretty challenging, because there is not a lot of light, and everybody rolls by so fast. The percentage of shots I took that were OK was not as high as I would have liked it to be, but that just comes with the territory. In baseball, if you're batting .300, you're doing well, and you're still failing 7 out of 10 times. I probably shot around .250, but that's OK. Next time I am going in with a bigger lens. That'll help.
It was a fun day.
