Um... OK, so I'm obviously not too good at updating these days...
I have had some downtime during the holidays and that is good. My gf and I stayed home in Baltimore rather than going to visit iwth either of our family, so we were able to get some rest (finally). We are still juggling like 5 different housing units that must be renovated/rented/sold. Will be glad when the number decreases a bit or I get more reliable people to help.
Kate & I burned a yule log on the solstice. We had our friend Arnold up form Arlington for Christmas because he was without family and yet stayed here too, so we figured we ought to unify. Besides, he's good people. We had a SWEET dinner on xmas eve and I simmered cardamom, anise, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon sticks on the stove to make everything smell all holiday-ish. We drank enough wine to pickle a Frenchman.
So, all was good. I hope all out there in SG land are well. Drop a line if you happen to see that I updated.
