so i saw the HOT HOT HEAT and the KILLERS last night. hot hot heat was pretty good. i liked the way their lead singer would play keyboards with his right hand while firmly grasping the mic in his left.
the Killers just can't get it done in person if you ask me. and their new material didn't sound great either. but is was fun to be with a bunch of other people getting fired up over good music.
then afterwards i went to an amazing
ROBOT party! i wish i had a camera, the whole thing was very Michael Alig. There was a guy with a wind up handle in his back wearing nothing but a g-string and a bunch of silver paint. oh and a mask and a breastplate. and there was a cute girl with just her bra and undies on and a full fishnet bodysuit-thing, and her face all silver. and a girl with ash trays covering her nipples, and there was foil all over the place, and guys with dryer coils on their legs and arms. and CollagenRock was there with sweet silver pants, and RecordandPlay was a pink robot (but there was no yoshimi). I just dressed like an american businessman b/c they are basically robots anyway.
and people were getting down all freak nasty style. oh man it was glorious.
