This is an entry for myself. Funny checking out old entries, and in a while... this will be.
Today is my last day of being 30 years old.
Like every other day a new year has passed. "New".
What has happened over these last 365 days...?
Hmmm...
A couple I brought together got married and had a kid. Score!
I bought the organ of my dreams and have all the instruments I really need. A really good feeling. Not to really need anything! My trio is doing pretty good, and will be playing tomorrow with Benjamin Koppel, a really god saxophoneplayer, who has played with the best of them.
The trio... damn we've had a few ups and downs.... mostly downs, but good downs. We've gotten a lot better than when we started out just a year ago, and we keep getting better! We've had sitdowns talking about our weak sides as a band, and as individuals. We all wanna play this music and I guess that's what binds us together. It all gets better. My compositions gets better and... well, it all seems to be getting better, which is a good place to go!
I started playing the saw more. Kinda dove into it and learned a little bit more about how to play. Well, a lot more, Got to play with a few "legendary" musicians. Or at least well known...
This has also been a year of trying to live on my own, and keep a job for a long time.
A year of feelings. Confusing and exciting! Nabiha, Ditte, Pia at Didde's party...
Frustration towards the non-functionality of the trio...
Sexual: the new adventures with Ditte.
Anger. Real anger towards a guy who did something to one of the above
Joy of playing music
Earlier this month I had the privilege to make my grandparents extremely proud. On the 4th of October I played a concert with some of the best musicians I've ever played with. A big concert at "Den Sorte Diamant". The concert was amazing and really made my grandparents see, that music is not necessarily a bad thing to spend a lot of time with, even though it doesn't pay the bills. They were proud of what I've become. A great feeling for them, but maybe more fullfilling to me. Hard to say...
Afterwards Tias drove os to a restaurant where we all had dinner. It was a good feeling to play the concert, take everyone out to dinner and everything was payed for by playing music. A fantastic experience absolutely free!
I think that would be the biggest experience of the year.
Oh, I also went to the states twice. Both of those were really nice times! Extremely nice to see all the guys over there again, and I'm pretty sure this friendship/family affair will last throughout my life!
First time I was there I picked up 2 1962 Fender Jaguars. Second time I got to try out my B3 at Megans house.
So, this year I have aquired bought 2 B3's, 2 1962 Fender Jaguars, 1 1964 Fender Mustang (a kinda kringlet story), 2 Hammond A100's, a Leslie 147, a 21H, a 247, a 251, a 122 in a 50C cabinet, a mannquin doll and a hell of a lot of tv-shows on DVD. That's pretty much it...
I'm getting tired of writing. Hope I can edit this... (or write more some other day. Or next year,,,)

leitha:
i know you'll love it here. there's so much to do. But don't get so caught up in the nightlife that you forget to go to 360 (pennybacker bridge) or Mt. Bonnell. There really are some amazing sights to be seen here...
