Decided to use this theme to tryout grouping low brass and bass guitar.
Testing out a new recording setup. Been trying to get more depth in my sound without becoming too boomy.
Don't think I ever posted this here. Was recording my part to a virtual ensemble last year and, while I had everything setup, decided to record my go-to low whistle/ocarina song.
Got all my low brass instruments together to play one of my favorite Bond themes
Had been running my clarinet through an octave pedal to mimic a bass clarinet and this theme was the first to come to mind for pairing it with tuba. Have actually been playing bass guitar more lately (currently working on some tracks from C&C, Doom Eternal and Hades), but is growing interested in one day adding a real bass clarinet.
Got this theme stuck in my head from yesterday's episode of Loki and decided to play it. Also, threw in a tuba variant via a bass guitar effect pedal, lol
Was testing out a Jo-Ral bubble mute on my alto trombone and how it blend with my two tubas.
Wanted to do more than simply play Taps this Memorial Day and have been wanting to play this solo on euphonium, so I did a quick recording via my phone.
Well, I took a stab at "Toxic Caves" from Sonic Spinball. Tuba on bass, alto trombone & euphonium in the horn section, alto recorder melody, alto sax solo, cornet solo and bass clarinet (via an octave pedal) soli all over a percussion track I made.
Being between the anniversary of the passing of one family member and the birthday of another, I felt like playing a variation of this. The guitar part was an issue and I've pondered playing it on a different instrument, but ultimately decided to stick with this attempt on a bass ukulele.
