God, I love movies. Everything from big budget Hollywood action to quaint little English comedies, high brow, low brow, and everything in between. Since I have 3 weeks off between tours and very little cash, I have been watching a lot of movies lately, and it's great. I just finished watching a downloaded copy of a beautifuly animated Japanese film. Not really traditional anime, per say, but a 3D CGI version there of. It's based on a video game, Final Fantasy VII (One of my all time faves), and is pretty incredible. It is Called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and is not yet available in the US. IN fact, I believe it is only going to available for PSP, which is a little odd, but I suppose it is exactly the market they are going for. If you get the chance, do yourself a favor and watch at least part of it to see some of the best animation you will ever see. Intricate "camera" moves, visually stunning shots, well choreographed action scenes.... a great spectacle to gander at for a wee bit.
