Well, I have been a member off and on for over 3 years now, and i never updated my journal. About time I did, huh?

Sorry about the cheesy pic. It's a scan of my headshot (I'm an actor). It's the only one I have.

Speaking of acting, I just wrapped up my fall tour and am settling in to a relaxing couple of weeks off before starting my Spring tour of I Have a Dream...and no, I won't be playing MLK, Jr. Instead, I get to play pretty much every white biggot alive during the Civil Rights Movement, the highlight of which is the chracter Bull Conner. Conner was head of Public Safety in Birmingham, AL during the Children's March lead by Dr. King and others.... Conner was responsible for using firehoses and setting attack dogs on protesters while laughing....ON NATIONAL TV... and saying "Look at those niggers run"..... nice guy. My company doesn't hold, back, either. This is performed for kids, but we let 'em have it with both barrels. It's important for kids today to understand the roots of the struggle that continues today.

Now, enough of my soap box for today....

On a lighter note....

Everyone should see the movie Serenity and the dvd of the Firefly series, or catch the reruns on Sci Fi. I downloaded all of the above recently and loved them so much that I went out and bought them just to support the show and any possibilty of it coming back and/or more films being made. It is compelling story telling with some incredible characters. The Captain (Mal), played by Nathan Fillion, is the person that I think every man wants to be... strong, brave, decisive, caring, and a little bit brash at times.... His love for the people on his ship leaps off the screen. It's the kind of show that makes you feel good about living your life after being on the loosing side of things. Check it out.
