Whooo! Go Eskimos!
Watched the Grey Cup final at my place with a few friends over. We hit the eggnog pretty hard with extra rum shots for the majors
We even had one of those crazy horn things. Everytime something exciting happened Sachia ran up to the window and blew the horn out into the alley.
After the game we stumbled out onto Jasper Ave expecting there to be a party... a riot... something. There were fucking cops on every corner, but no one celebrating. So we walked/stumbled for a few blocks, with me running out onto the street screaming at the top of my lungs, getting passing cars to honk. Sachia and Matt where passing the football across the 6 lanes (2 per side + bus lane) of Jasper Ave traffic. Eventually we got told my cops to get off the fuckin' road.
There really weren't any other people out celebrating though. So we went up to Whyte Ave thinking there'd be a party there... again, fuckin' disappointment.
I know it's not the Stanley Cup or anything... but fuck man... do SOMETHING.
We figured maybe there'd be fireworks on Churchhill Square.... again..... nothin'. So we got out the football and played on the concrete there. Quite a few people walked by, but no one wanted to play with us. Two girls stopped by and played for a bit, but meh... The security guards watched us for a bit but didn't want to play either. Fuckers... show some civic pride you dingbats.
Monday was bowling night... that was fun too.
Tuesday I skipped out of work to go to the Grey Cup parade. It'd snowed during the night so I was pretty stoked. Then I found out that the fucking parade was INSIDE A FUCKING MALL.
What the fuck is up with that? Who the hell has a parade inside? Only in fucking Edmonton man... only in Edmonton. So Sachia and I went there with the idea that we'd hook up with Sean. It was pretty fucking lame. We heard later that there were 20,000 - 25,000 people there. My fucking arse. There were maybe 3-4000 max. I mean... what the fuck did they expect. They held it in a fucking cleared out food court. God this city sucks.

I'm not a huge football fan, so I wasn't that upset.
