Well...the weekend is almost over and I have nothing to show...that's the big story of my life...well ok fine, I have quite a bit of software that I just have to publish it all.
Side note:
How can the girl in Just Married get hit in the head witha football and then not have a bruise? That was a 50 meter throw and travelled that distance in 5 seconds...bring in some friction and that gives us about 15 m/s. That's ~ 54km/h...with a sharp object and she's not even stunned? Filmmakers...bah...course her sister would look amazing with a few tattoos and piercings...and some dark clothes...nice contrast.
I went for my first good long distance run today (20k)...at 2 AM...the air is really really really really nice. It's beautiful outside...and I'm jogging all alone but it's not one of those emotional things everybody talks about (like in forest gump). I like viewing things from the ground but I tend to visualize things from a height so...I'd rather see things from up on a height.
I have a bit of an obsession with flying and airports...I tend to show up to airports very very very early...I show up soo early that I usually have to wait 4 hours before they even start handling my flight. It's just so neat to watch the birds fly and the look at the architecture. Pearson for example is a decent airport but it has nothing on Charles de Gualle deux (en Paris) or Kansai International. The most forboding airport I have seen was Kuwait (2 weeks before Iraq invasion...it was a layover). Solid concrete...it was amazingly blocky.
Anyhow...moving onwards...reason I'm mentioning all this flying is cause I'm going hang gliding soon...I gotta move to BC...seriously, they have updrafts there like no where (except some places in the Alps, Himalayas, Urals (very rare), Andes, and New Zealand. There's lots of other places which are nice but they're quite crowded. Someday I'll move on up to Gliders but free flight is pretty nice. If you're looking for safe flight then I suggest Paragliding...if you're looking for extreme fast flying then I suggest hang gliding. That stuff is fast and dangerous. You can fly soooooo fast that you _need_ goggles to see.
If any of you are extreme enough then I'll get my tandem licence so I can take yah...but you'll have to be light, ok?
If you haven't ever done free flying then you _have_ to do it. Seeing the heights from a plane isn't all that great as your view is limited but when you're a 1000, 2000, or 10000 feet up and being held up by some thing plastic, hollow metal and a few ropes there's no other thrill or rush like it. Then when you start to speed up and you're falling with the ground rushing up and you pull a tight loop it's better than sex (ok...I haven't had sex but I think it could be a fair assumption).
Anyhow, it's bed time as I have to be up early to goto buy several smaller products and start building upper body strenght for the upcoming flying season.
