hewo journal,
Long weekend has begun...I'm still hoping I can get a game dev job in the next week...course school is all registered and set to go
You know the whole mess in Iraq? My biggest problem with the whole thing is taht the animals are being neglected. There was an article on CNN today and also at Janes about how the animals are starting to starve. Wish I could go there and feed them but I'm stuck all the way over here with my long dancers' legs.
I suspect some of you are gonna get totally wasted this weekend and if I may suggest one thing before you get into your car: please make sure you have a video camera as there is a dearth of live unscripted car crash footage...it'll help you pay your civil suit costs.
Sooooo psyched for the upcoming exams. We're getting our weather watch together and we're trying to figure out the best time to go and prep our chemicals as the slightest change in humidity and temperature can drastically effect the results (we may need to have unhydrated materials).
In case some of you didn't know...I work at the DE office of the University of Waterloo but for a different department (we're stealing space from them...he he...). Anyhow, when you walk in there's tons of students there who are waiting for packages or something. Of course, I usually bring french fries for the the receptionists and so I started chatting with them with complete and utter disregard for the students waiting in line. Then out of nowhere a student walks up and takes on of my fries, eats it...winks at me and walks back to fill out her form. She looked very familiar but campus is like that (you see people that you'll never meet).
Anyhow, a few hours ago I got an email from her...she asked the front desk people for my email...turns out that she's in grad school now but I was in one of her 2nd year courses way back in my frosh year. She was keeping in touch and what not as all the people I know are leaving and I'm one of the few people that she knows that is still around (except her bf...I knew she had one...why can't we just be friends you people with perverted minds).
It's cool to meet people that you haven't seen in years. She's doing some thesis work on energy use in directed molecule movement. It's important work and I will probably use it as a reference in my thesis if I ever get to that level...maybe I'll just become a hitman...mike said he'd drive and do the technical stuff
Now...it is time to eat and save money for a trip to the Weeeeeeessstsssssiddeeeeeeeeeee of Canada.
