Bigpunkmike and I had lunch today and then we went to Toys R Us. I bought Metroid Prime there as well as Super Smash Brothers Mellee.
Now, I'm not much for First Person Shooters (except CounterStrike, Hitman, and Goldeneye) so I thought I would love Smash Brothers (I loved the N64 version) so I played that and I need a bit getting used to the controller (but I made it through the classic fighting version in under 15 minutes).
I did some work on setting up a skeleton for a game that bpm and I are working on and then I was itching to play more...so I fired up Metroid...GOD DAMN IT'S AMAZING.
There's just sooo much to do in the game and the graphics are killer. Not only that but everything is soooo smooth. The controls for MP were surprisingly easy to pick up and I found it to be very intuitive. Anyhow, I've been playing for 4 hours straight and still haven't gotten very far as I went back to the first couple levels and played them again (for the feel of it).
I really should take a break and start saving up for the Broadband Connector so I can fire this baby up online. I also want to play the classic metroid but I need a gameboy advance and I don't think I'm going for all that.
Anyhow, one game I'm really looking forward to getting (no...it's not Super Mario Sunshine) is Pikmen...it'll be skababoozingfantasticolicious.
So...what's happenning with you? Did you get a haircut?
