Hehe, well ive had an official request for an update
(Im really bad about updating this)
So I got my jeep fixed, cost about $1200 which really screwed up my finances.
I also got really sick with a throat infection which made me unable to eat for 4 days and I had to force myself to drink. I even ended up missing my second day of work at my new job. And to top that off my wisdom teeth started to come in (a top one and a bottom one on the same side so I was chewing on my gums which also made eating a nightmare)
I finally started my new job, I am a "drama support staff" for a high school near me. Basically I design the sets and lights and build the sets, I also teach the kids how to hang and focus lights and how to build sets. And because this is with the school board I get full benefits (after 3 months). I am having a great time, the staff and the students are all very fun to work with, and I love the stuff I am doing. I also have some marking to do and entering marks in the computer. All in all this is the best job ive had yet.
The school is a self directed school which I think contributes to how big the drama department is, there are about 200 students taking drama.
the most amazing thing is the budget they have for their shows $12000 on average per show that runs for 4 days, (they did grease one year and had a budget of $36000) which is much more than most professional theatre companies.
By the way, the show I am working on now opens on Monday, it is a really good show especially for a high school, so if you want to come see it let me know (tickets are $8) I can never remember the name of the show but it is a funny murder mystery. (keep in mind though this is at a catholic school so you have to behave yourselves
, it is funny though I don't think any of the support staff at the school is actually catholic)
thats all you get for now, i am very tired and going to bed now, maby i will update more often
