Today is auction day. I was told last night that I'll be bidding against men looking for rental property. Men with money to burn. And that I'd be bid against since ... well it's personal. They said it happens when the "women folk" think they can leave the kitchen.
This house should not be bid higher than $40K ...probably not over $35K. So my dream last night: $36, 37 .... 48, 49, I raised my card and said 100

I wish I had a digital camera. I fell asleep at 7p and the doggies were out all night in the den. Apparently the cats knocked the roll of paper towels down and the dogs had fun. I think I missed a great party.

The movie is great, it's more the physical effects of the insomnia that Bale depicts that are so freaky. He got down to less than 120 pounds for the role, and looks like a concentration camp prisoner. It's amazingly creepy.
Summer in the Bay Area is such a wonderful thing. The girls are wearing their tank tops, skirts and shorts. The beauty of a California girl without the attitude of SoCal, such a great reason to leave the house and walk around the city. My Grandpa "Papa" is a world class professional girl-watcher, and I fear it's a hereditary condition. I only wish I had his style and flair for flirting... He's like an Irish mix of Cary Grant and Anthony Quinn.
