I've said it once, I've said it a million times: I hate online dating. Or I'm just not very good at it.
As hard as I try to make a concious effort to write more, it never works out that way. I just don't have much to say..
No, strike that.
I just don't have much to say worth being recorded and thrown out there. I hate to admit I'm complicated. I don't know if anyone could get me from just reading this. Seeing me once. Or even just a burst of short messages back and forth. It usually doesn't happen. What usually happens is I usually put someone off, intentionally or not (sometimes mutually) and nothing really developes until there is a period of exposure. Both parties have to be aquainted, I need a feel to be comfortable, know my limits and just break down my own walls. They usually just need time to get a grasp at me.
This is why I just can't seem to make anything work with these online sites. THey only catch a glimpse, see soemthing they don't like or see anything.. They don't see everything so the message is lost. I can't get a feel for people just chatting unless it's a lot of chatting. (Grant you, one of my best friends in the universe, my hero, Christy, I met online many eons ago somewhere in yahoo, but I digress.) and attractive women are rather intimidating when you only have an image to work with. The imagination works wildly there.
