For me, 2019 was a year of growth and success. 2020 will be the same, if not better. I smashed almost every goal I’d set for this year and I hope to carry that same energy into the new decade. Here’s a few goals that I’m setting for myself to complete in 2020.
1. Improving my home- I recently purchased a brand new home a few months ago and I’m still excited about it. The only thing I really want to improve on is utilizing the empty space that I have and finish decorating. Right now, I’m in the process of turning one of my rooms into a weight room. The other empty room was going to be used as a guest bedroom, but since I don’t really have guests over often, I’ve decided to turn that room into an office/study. When it comes to finishing decorating, there’s not much left to do. I have a fair amount of decor already; I’m just looking at adding a few things to make the house feel even more cozy. If I can, I’ll snag myself an art piece or two from a local artist.
2. Continue my education- I’m currently working a full-time job, but I’m looking into completing online classes for an Associate’s degree. I’d prefer to do something in the IT field, but I’m also considering something in the Engineering field.
3. Continuing to stay fit- I love to workout, but sometimes my work schedule can interfere with my fitness routine. Creating a weight room in my house will help relieve that issue and allow me to stay consistent with my workouts, plus there’s no membership fees 😂. One thing I’ll need to improve on is my diet. I eat fairly healthy, but I LOVE sweets. I’m going to cut back on my sweets as well as my alcohol intake. Also, I’m cutting out sodas completely.
4. Staying smart with my money- I’m nowhere near being rich. Being smart with my money has allowed me to be in the position I’m in today. I will continue to make smart decisions with my finances until the day I die. I tend to pay my bills as early as possible and save for the rest of the month. Although I’m looking into buying a project car (AKA Money Pit 😂) to work on, it’s my responsibility to make sure that my priorities are taken care of first.
2020 is going to be a bright and exciting year for me. What are some goals that you’ve set for yourself in 2020?
