The Black Dice opened for Godspeed. Holy Shit, I had no idea two synths could make that much noise! Jesus.

Yeah, were definitely in some very strange times. I think I was beginning to have some sort of fucking attack the other night! It was four or five days in to this "so called" war, when all the news coverage was starting to peak. I had done nothing but follow every move your country made, every word your country spoke, and every action your country made, for a week straight! No breaks. I listened and watched both at work and at home. This is not recommended at all. I thought I could get right in to the coverage - more so politically then anything. News talk radio and that kind of thing. I just panicked one night and shut the tv off all together.

I'm currently taking some time away from the coverage and away from my opinions.

Yeah, Hawksly is pretty damn good! But, we have soooo many more! You seem to have some pretty good taste in music. Montreal, of the french canadian scene is just beginning to break out. Each and every day I'm hearing better and better music coming from these very creative people. A lot of it is sound scape or noise rock type stuff - if that means anything at all. I'm so sick of genres that I find myself explaining music in my own words. Hee.

Anyways, I'm desperately trying to keep warm up here. I know spring is coming sometime soon! I hope.

5. cursive played philly sunday, and i didn't go, but goddamnit i wish i would have. their new album is fucking amazing.

yeah, and what you said about wanting to start the perfect band, but everyone else is everywhere else is totally true.

... that entire album is absolutely amazing, the first time i listened to it, the first track gave me chills for like 30 minutes, the piano is just so haunting and huge sounding...

I knew what I was in for when I'd get a B on a report card and I'd get the 20 questions of why it wasn't an A.
