Ok ok ok ill update.jeez.
Ok let's see. Friday morning I got up thinking that I had a reservation for a rental car downtown near the airport. I took a bus, I took the trolley, I got there and they told me they couldn't take debit cards. They told me they couldn't take credit cards over the phone. That none of the car companies in the area would because we are too close to Mexico. After much calling, frustrations and shuttle going I decided to take the train to Ventura instead.
On the train I got a mini bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers and set up my laptop in the lounge car and tried to learn some new programs that my friend josh gave to me.
There were two large parties of males probably on a bachelor party trip who got increasingly drunk and crazy and managed somehow to get a bunch of girls on the train to make out with them. It was entertaining
So the weekend was filled with activities - a 50th b-day party for my dads girlfriend (there were pro swing dancers and family I haven't seen since I was 5). The party was great and we were all exhausted by the end.
Seeing my Nana and my great Aunt Tilly was awesome. It so great to re-connect with family once you are an adult. Such a different dynamic. Tilly was encouraging me to get us free drinks by talking to men at the bar and my Nana was in full support (her idea even) to date more than one guy at a time. Funny stuff.
Saw my almost nephew (found out that my dad and Gina are not married, not even engaged!). And my almost sister. Hopefully she will come down and see me sometime.
Then Sunday when I was wondering if I should take the train back home we started looking into the car situation. After test-driving 4 or 5 we decided on a 2005 5-speed black Nissan Sentra. That's right kids I got a car. Now on to the next issue
Parkingoh yah. that's why people who live in city's don't have carsI cant get resident parking because I'm one block to far into the city or something and my other options are to pay 75$ a month or drive around to find an un-metered spot. I think ill just find a spot until I get a real job.
But whatevs, I got a car!!!! Thanks Dad and Gina!
Me and Meg hung out this morning. Ate breakfast. Tonight I'm driving my car to go see my boy Scott in Oceanside.
Um that's all I got for yah. Check out the sweet car!!
