As I've mentioned in some earlier posts, I do some writing for my friend James Allen who draws the comic strip Mark Trail. Lately, I haven't written anything because I'm still trying to recover from Hurricane Michael, and this COVID bullshit and my dad is among his final days on earth but I have to get started back. My first assignment will be a series of short two to three-week ideas that I have come up with to reintroduce our main villains, who would like to do harm to Mark. Leading up to a couple of longer stories the last of which will be the final big battle. Over the next couple of days, I'll explain how you could help, mostly by helping me with research. The story will probably start in São Paulo and move down the coast to Peruibe then Praia do Guaraú and eventually both Ilha de Queimada Grande (yes I know you really can't go there but Mark Trail Can) and a totally invented Island. I could google information but I thought it might be fun this way having actual lovely locals. I'll post something tomorrow to show you what you would be helping with tomorrow. The benefit for helping are several and I will go into that as well, let us just say we base the strip on actual locations and use real names or real-ish likenesses for some characters in the strip but we have several guidelines to follow. Which will also be explained in more detail. So if you are familiar with any of the areas, minus, of course, Snake Island and the yet to be named made up island this may be a chance to have a little fun.
