Finally got my poor little Nikon back from the shop (broken shutter). It was a bit of a process but couldn't have worked out better. It went for a bit of a tumble accidentally and busted a kit lens. Still under warranty. So I sent the lens back, knowing it couldn't be fixed because the plastic retention part broke. The camera still worked fine but when it fell I had been shooting vertically and it slipped off the tripod. Shoddy mounting bracket. Nikon refunded the whole camera because they had just changed models (I preferred the older which is why I bought it in the first place). So weeks go by and It works fine... shooting horizontally. Then I shoot with a vertical mount and back to horizontal and boom, the shutter is broken. So my thought was Nikon already refunded the camera, surely they won't fix it. Wrong, they fixed it under warranty, knowing they had refunded it for the broken lens. So know I have my camera back and 3 new lenses. Also, I should have a shoot booked for tonight if my friend came through. So tonight, I'll be raising a glass to Nikon, for great customer service!
