oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man where do i start?
Warped tour was wild! I did get called out to work while Anti-Flag was playing but we told a good sob story to security and they agreed to let us back in. So I got out, fixed the problem on the tracks, and got back in time to catch the last half of NOFX's set! Spectacular! Followed by Bad Religion, we were right at the fence for them and as soon as they introduced themselves and hit their first note, some big shirtless dude passed out lol! Mosh pits were insane all day, I'm almost getting too old for them, muscles wear out quicker and cant dance as long. Oh! and to backtrack a bit before that as in earlier in the day there was a wicked reggae/ska band out of boston called <irony> Westbound Train </irony> and to make things even funnier (as i work on tracks) Their set was facing the railroad tracks and as they were introducing themselves, I shit you not, a westbound CN train went by on the tracks behind us. They made the whole crowd cheer and the guy riding on the locomotive was all like "yeeaahh!" and videotaping with his phone. I received a plethora of compliments on my leftover crack shirt I was wearing hehehehe. Ok so back to the main event, NOFX, Bad Religion were both superb, good mosh pits, i realised that a few times everyone was just standing around until I shoved a few people and got the thing going... so bad religion finished and then.. FLOGGING MOLLY! They blew my mind, I had a hoe-down dosey doe dance thing going on at the back of the pit, like you know, where people link arms and dance around in a circle, then pass off to the next, only about 10 people were doing it with me but it was great. Then they played drunken lullabies, and I had no choice but to crowd surf... awesome, but lost my hat
Then when they finished their set, I was talking to some people my friend adam and I met, and i felt something hit me in the arm, I looked down, and it was one of their picks! Totally kept it and going to possibly make it into a necklace or some kind of memoir.... and that was warped tour! I'm sure I missed some details but man it was the best.
Yesterday, I got called into work at 1130am and got home at midnight! Lost of money, but no time and no sleep! Not as exciting eh? Todays plan? Reeeeeelax as next weekend is camping at Elora Gorge
