OKay, so this is WAY late, but I got some advice about the septum hiding...I was in the Military so trust me, I can hide it better than anyone! lol...Well, I had a 10g septum ring and it was the same guage as the clear plastic tube for that spray that you use to clean keyboards. Also, wire and weed-wacker line is guaged...of course until you are healed that really isn't an option..but I've seen retainers that are black and more of a square shape( minus one line of course) so that's all my advice. Hope it helps, and it's cool that you work at a youth-center thing...hope that all goes well...
