You know i am beginning to get a little tires of Congress these days. I think that someone should read them the Constitution. It is a pretty important document that tells them what their job is. As far as I know they do not have the right to tell the president to remove troops by Iraq by a certain date. The president is Commander and Chief, and he has the ultimate say on what is done with his troops. That's right folks, and i am a part of it, we are his troops, not congress's. They do not control us, and they do not control the President in respect to us. What they are trying to do is unconstitutional and I wish someone in the liberal media would point that out. All these people are trying to do is get more votes, not pull the troops home. They are more worried about their jobs than they are my friends overseas.
You ask how can I tell that, well if they were really concerned about the troops they would not try to wast time and tax payer dollars by passing unconstitutional laws, they would cut funding for the war in Iraq. That would force the President to bring the troops home. If you don't have the money for it you can't do it. But they won't do that because that would cost them votes. On the home front let's be real whether you like the war or not you don't want to see money taken away that would cost more american lives. So if they cut the funding, even though it would bring troops home, some would die because the equipment needed was not there. That would cause people to lose their jobs in congress and all their cushy little perks that they are afraid to lose.
You ask now how am I an expert on all of this, well I am not, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Kidding aside I have a BA in Politics and worked in the area for a while before I could not take the back stabbing in undernandedness of it. I have more morals than that and I left.
