It has been over a month now since I have written in here. A lot has gone on, obviously. Work is going really well and I keep being told I am on the bubble to get my own store. I believe that they are telling me the truth because I am in some management training with the company GM and I almost did not make the last class and my DM freaked out. So I think that looks pretty good for me that they definately want me in the classes.
In January we lost 2 salesman at the store. It hurt for a little bit but not for too long. One thought he was better than he was and didn't need to follow the rules and the other one got butt hurt when I yelled at him. He walked out of work on a Sunday and I told him if he left not to come back. He took me a little more literallly than I meant it and never came back. No big deal the former was at the end of his carreer in sales and was just takeing up space and the latter was at the beginning of his carreer but would not listen, just a little to young.
So now this month is going great we have a new salesman but he is still young but very willing to listen, which is great. So really it is just myself and 1 other salesman with experience and we are raking in the cash. My commission check will be the biggest one yet with the company and I will make bonus this month as well. Thank God for that because I need to pay down the credit card.
Other than that I still need to work on my car but am having problems finding the part I need. I have a huge vaccuum leak but just can't get the gasket I need. When I get that the car will be much more quiet.
Also my brother in law has been looking for a job, so he found a part time job stocking shelves. I told him about my company and they were hiring for sales and he has sales experience. I told him to go fill out the app and talk to the DM he would be in the store down the street from his house. He has not worked in 2 years due to a back injur. He never went in and said that he wanted to give the part time job a chance he really wants to work there. I understand but come on part time work for a flat hourly rate or 50+ hours a week for almost the same hourly. Figure overtime and it's more than his part time hourly and then add commission on top of that and it blows that money out of the water. Also there is definately the chance for a 6 figure income once you make store manager. I just don't understand some people.
So long for now, Bye Teletubbies.
