Well hello all,
I am back from beautiful Hawaii and back in the real world. Boy does the real world suck. Anyway let's talk about HI. We spent our first few days lounging on the beach and just enjoying the sights. I think when people go to HI they forget what they look like and think they can still wear bikinis. Most woment should not be in a bikin and that definately shows in HI. The HI beaches are just loaded with fat tourists showing off what should be hidden. I will get some pictures up here soon so we can all look at what I mean.
Then we spent a couple of days on some commercial tours. One went not only to Pearl and the USS AZ but to all the bases that were attacked on December 7, 1941, the date that will live in infamy. It was incredible and filled with all sorts of good stories about the men and women that fought and survived that day. We also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and learned all about the islands of the south pacific. Then for the next 3 days we rented a car and wandered around the north shore. Unfortunately is was a little rainy and the waves were not that big. In fact pipeline was barely breaking and Waimea bay was totally flat, except for a shore break that was crushing. But you really didn't want to get in it because the stream that flows into the bay was red with mud and debree and the bay was all dirty also.
Then we spent a few more days on the beach and just enjoyed each others company. We also went to a very fine dining restaurant in the hotel we stayed in. I had escargot which I just absolutely love and my wife almost got sick just watching me eat them. She couldn't watch or she was gagging. They came in the shells just like in Pretty Woman, but I did not shoot one across the room like Julia Roberts. We spent a day shopping and went to Hilo Hatties, which seems to be a lot cheaper in HI then here on the main land. And the final thing I did by myself and that was to learn to surf.
So now that we are back here in San Diego I will be looking for a beater board to learn on and a wet suit. If anyone has either they are looking to get rid of let me know.
Thanks and talk to you all later,
