Group Description
A place for people that are interested in polyamory, polyfidelity, consensual non-monogamy and/or any other way they want to define their open romantic relationships. (Read: This is not a hook-up group, please hunt for unicorns elsewhere.)
(Please do not shoot the unicorns)
We were without an "owner" after the switch to the new SG in October 2013, but we're happy to say that we're open for business once again. (pun intended)
Please note that although there aren't any strict membership requirements, you will need to have gone to the trouble of putting some sort of picture in your profile (even if it isn't of you)(unless you have a relatively heavy blog presence or otherwise show your investment in your SG profile), and there will need to be enough info in your profile for me to tell that you're not just going to be creepy. Seriously. No trolls allowed. This is a safe place. So if you have left any disrespectful comments elsewhere on SG and I find them, you won't be getting into this group, as we rely on trust to keep things safe. And since I'm new to this and want to keep the group as comfortable as it was when I was allowed to join it, I'm going to be a bit of an asshole for a while in who I let in. So you're going to need an SG personality (read: have blog entries; comments other than "thanks for the follow"; and, no "please follow me" comments, either...that's definition creepy) for me to let you in. If you're still pending and you see this change to the group info, update your shit and start participating - I haven't denied you, I just haven't let you in. P.S. don't take offense at this if you're one of the above. Just tell us more about you
* Update 6-3-15: On the recommendation of SG staff, I am now "declining" applications that don't meet the group requirements. Up to this point, I was just letting applications with insufficient profiles languish, which was apparently frustrating to some. So if I declined your application, please review your profile and flesh it out, then re-apply. For those of you who simply meet the definition of "creepy" in your comments, you can just not re-apply, because I'm not going to let you into the group.
This is for your benefit as a future member as much as it is for current members' benefit, so hopefully it isn't too much to ask.
