Coincidences were rampant the day of the shoot. I was wearing a necklace with the Virgin Mary on it and I had told Alissa that I wanted to shoot in a doorway. And who was in my doorway? None other than the Virgin herself. We made mention to the owner of the house that we wished we had the Ten Commandments. Ask and you shall receive so I hear so he brings us the very Ten Commandments that I had hanging in my house growing up. Lastly, I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan and it was so very fitting that my first set is named Stairway to Heaven.
This set is completely religiously offensive but what can I say? I take tremendous pleasure in creating chaos and controversy. It makes me giggle a little on the inside to imagine what my bible thumping Daddy would say if he saw it. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process from start to finish. Alissa was great and I was not even the slightest bit nervous to be totally naked in front of people I had never met before. The whole day was completely surreal and the set is exactly what I had envisioned. It personifies everything that I stand for. I want to say thanks everyone that was there that day because the set would not have had the same vibe and results without each of you.
