7 years in I still can't believe it. It kind of escapes the national conversation that he is black but it is gigantically important. I still get teary eyed even though I'm not happy about a lot that he did he is probably the most important president since FDR and he hasn't been assassinated (I was sure that was on the agenda first term).

I had a very similar grandfather that i've only ever known through stories and pictures of him.
I imagine and hear that he was a very similar man, the kind of person that inspires being a full and good person in others. I can only hope to live up to that ideal.

Well, Very eventful weekend. I Went to see my new niece who was born on friday. Then I drove to the paradise tattoo convention which was really awesome and fun.

I just got my feet done recently as well... they certainly were NOT the most fun out of my tattoos. I kept making face. My feet have always been pretty sensitve anyway though. But they look good, certainly unique!!
So I read breaking dawn, by stephanie meyer in like 2 days. I'm such a nerd. But it was awesome.
