All of the people who voted The Proclaimers were outraged that an indie band who swear in their songs and sing about religion, being bullied at school and having sex, should be crowned the King of Scottish pop music.
But then if you listen to their music... isn't that what it's all about? Gentle, indie-pop with lyrics about sport, pretty girls, cups of tea and... um, bondage and being a "dickslap".
