I bushed a bug off my arm and it was a baby centipede. I had to get my roommate to come and kill it while i did my freak-out dance. Grr I hate those things, and if theres a baby, the adults are close.

Not necessarily, most invertebrates do not care for their young after the eggs are layed. Some centipede species will stay until the eggs are hatched, but that's about as far as they go.

My family and I cared for my grandmother who had cancer in her stomach, colon, and throat. She had broken her hips in consecutive years, her bones were weak and her mind was shutting down. At a time in my life when I thought I knew so much and was pretty much invincible, I watched as she slowly slide into the grip of death and it was difficult for the whole family. But we have to see that as time goes on life and death dance hand in hand and we are at the whim of the severity of consequences we acrew throughout our lives. I give you my condolences and hope that your time of rememberence is filled with golden moments. And as for getting off a crazy rock. Right there with you too. I want to go back home or at least to someplace with some culture, musuems, dance clubs...places where I can be awake at 3:00 am and find a good place to eat some interesting people to talk to....Reno, SanDiego, maybe back to SF...I hope you find a place where you can feel you are at home...
