My favorite place I've travelled to...

I haven't been everywhere, mind you, but I really loved Prague. It was incredibly beautiful and there was art everywhere. The city put so much effort into maintaining the architecture, and the government recognized art as an integral part of the daily life of people and the culture. There was a museum or gallery practically every other building in the Old Town. There was...

Agreed, it's horrible the way Canada has been treating it's artists lately.

I was just reading back through old blogs and it was quite surreal. I'd been thinking that I should delete things that were too embarrassing or revealing, but mostly what I found were these very optimistic, well-worded entries from a person that I hardly recognized as myself. My perspective has changed a lot in the last year. It's sad to admit that I...

"art shows in Portland and San Francisco"  Cool!   I just saw some art last night.  I hope your hand heals up soon!

tmacimaging:

Age does change your perspective.  You also have to remember that the media will always paint someone as the victim and someone as the villain.  Don't fall for the "propaganda" that if you don't have everything then you're a victim.  Be grateful for what you have and  take care of yourself!  Wish one of your art shows was closer to me.  I'd love to see it!

Oh hello!

I've finally worked out how to sign in to this darnfangled fancy new site and here I am to say hello. I hear it's pretty cool. I'm excited to post more photos since it's so much easier now, I think.

One thing I want to address is that I've gotten some wonderful interest in my artwork and requests to see...

That said, I have a feeling that it's safer letting ppl here, know your name... than letting ppl on FB know your SG name.

sinwithagrin:

Don't like the new layout of the site at all. It takes ages to find and figure stuff out. Good move on not releasing your website info, although most of us would love to see more of your work. Merry Christmas!

Eeek! I didn't even know my set would be on the FP so soon! I only found out it was accepted less than a week ago. Feels really nice to know people enjoy it that much! Thank you!

Whenever I have a new set go into MR it's quite nerve wracking. I never expect my sets to go FP, since there are so...

I know what you mean! Hermit artist life, it always surprises me when a photo I take in 5 minutes get's so much attention, or when people tell me they're nervous because I'm "so pretty". It's very strange. We're always so critical of ourselves.

You're incredibly beautiful, inside and out... Confidence is sexy and yours shows ;)

As it happens when one is in a hurry, I made a typo in my last blog post in the most important part - my email address! It is PHOENIX.W.SABI@gmail.com, not phoneix blackeyed So if you are interested in my print (see last blog) please email me again. Sorry!

So, what have I been up to lately? Art, of course. My compulsion never...

Not a bad idea but hey you're being inspired which is taken from the Latin "in spiritus" which means in spirit.

So your spirit is coming out on your canvas & that is a very beautiful thing so don't feel to bad about it smile

Taking time off is very difficult when you're freelance, but it's also very important. Most of people don't understand that, cause they think that since we are "free" of imposed work schedules, we do what we want when we want. They don't see we impose upon ourselves way worse schedules !
Though you need time to refuel. Time to rest. Time to have fun. It's not wasted time, it's necessary too. Just to not start to hate our passion, for example wink
