Man, I really feel you on the empty city.Ā When I was in NYC I used to love that, but because there's not really a holiday season you usually catch it late late at night or very early in the morning.Ā It's true that NY never sleeps, but it's dreamy when it's drowsy.Ā I'm jealous of your Iceland trip - I wanna GOOOOOO!Ā Oh, and that morning earth smell you mentioned is called "petrichor".Ā Ā It was also my answer for favorite spring smell in my own Spring questionnaire, and the science behind it is really interesting.
