Sounds like a sweet topic to write about! I personally feel like society depends way too much on perscription drugs to "help" their children. It's amazing how quickly people who are parents seem to forget what things were like when they were kids and how it was to be an 7 year old child. People are afraid to let their kids go outside these days, and plop them down in front of the tv and give them videos and dvd's to watch and wonder why their kid is hyper and can't concentrate on one thing for more than a little while. Kids need to run around and play!!!!!!!! They need to burn off that energy by doing physical activities, not be chemically modified to make them more managable. I'm watching my brother do this with his child right now (except he doesn't have his kid on ritalin or anything), and it sucks to see it happen.
