When we think of the Ladybird/ladybug we tend to think of the gardener's friend Coccinella septapunctata or 7-spot Lady Bird . The one here is The invasive Harmonia axyridis or Asian Lady Beetle, which is not a true Ladybug. It is often called the Halloween Ladybird because we see them in our homes around October November. These do the same job in the garden but they secret a substance that can permanently dye fabric and they will invite their friends along to crash in your place -whereas the 7 Spot Ladybird will not . If you see them indoors and you do not wish for your house to be stained , gently remove them to a sheltered spot outside. They're too pungent to be predated upon by birds. Nice picture ❤️🖤
