Before his death on October 7, 1849, Annabel Lee was the last complete poem he wrote:.<br /><br />It was a gloomy day and I knew exactly where I would find the sepulchre where our souls were going to lie down for the rest of the eternity. Would you dare to encounter this lovely and deathly passion with me even if that threatens with an angels furious rage of envy?</div>
